Contruva vs Jobber comes down to this: Jobber is a strong scheduling, quoting and invoicing app where the AI receptionist, marketing and review tools are paid add-ons below its top plan. Contruva includes all of that, plus an AI you can text to do the work, in one plan at $249.99 CAD a month with no per-seat fees.
If you’re a solo operator who only needs quotes and invoices, Jobber’s entry plan is cheaper. If you have a crew, want calls answered and want marketing handled, Contruva usually costs less and does more. The details are below.

Contruva vs Jobber pricing
Contruva has one plan, Contruva Pro, at $249.99 CAD per month. Every feature is included and your whole crew gets access, with no per-seat pricing and nothing to unlock later. Card payments go through Stripe and Contruva adds no fee of its own. See Contruva pricing.
Jobber lists four plans on getjobber.com/pricing, all in USD (checked November 2026). Each plan has three price points: no commitment, a 1-year commitment billed monthly, and annual prepaid.
| Jobber plan | Users | No commitment | 1-year commitment | Annual prepaid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | 1 | $49 | $39 | $29 |
| Connect | 1 / 5 | $139 / $199 | $119 / $169 | $99 / $149 |
| Grow | 1 / 5 | $199 / $299 | $169 / $259 | $149 / $229 |
| Plus | 5 / 15 | $499 / $699 | $439 / $599 | $399 / $529 |
On top of that, Jobber lists extra users at $29/month each, Marketing Suite at $99/month, Pipeline at $49/month and the AI Receptionist at $29/month. The add-ons are bundled only in Plus. Jobber’s FAQ says a 1-year commitment keeps billing until the term ends, and annual prepayments are non-refundable.
Jobber prices are in US dollars. Contruva is priced in Canadian dollars. If you bill customers in CAD, compare after converting at your bank’s current rate.
Feature by feature
Checkmarks for Jobber reflect what its pricing page lists (November 2026). Where a feature needs a higher plan or an add-on, we say so.
| Feature | Contruva | Jobber |
|---|---|---|
| Quotes and online approval | ✓ E-signature and deposits | ✓ All plans |
| Automated quote follow-ups | ✓ Included | Connect and up |
| Scheduling and calendar | ✓ Google and Outlook sync | ✓ All plans |
| Crew app with time tracking | ✓ Clock-in, checklists, photos | Time tracking Connect and up |
| Job costing | ✓ Included | Grow and up |
| Invoices and online card payments | ✓ Stripe, no Contruva fee | ✓ All plans |
| Two-way texting | ✓ One inbox | Grow and up |
| AI receptionist | ✓ Included | Add-on ($29/mo), included in Plus |
| Website | ✓ AI-built, weekly SEO pages | ✓ Included on all plans |
| Review requests | ✓ Included | Marketing Suite add-on |
| Social posts, ads and email | ✓ Included | Marketing Suite add-on ($99/mo) |
| QuickBooks Online sync | Not listed | ✓ Connect and up |
Notice the last row. Jobber lists QuickBooks Online sync from Connect up. Contruva tracks invoices, payments, expenses and job costs, but it isn’t accounting software, so check how you’ll get numbers to your bookkeeper before you switch.
AI: receptionist vs assistant
Both products now answer calls with AI, but they work differently.
Jobber’s Receptionist handles calls and texts when you can’t, books visits through your online booking settings, transfers urgent calls and texts back callers who hang up. Jobber’s help centre says the add-on includes 100 conversations a month.
Contruva’s AI receptionist answers in your business name with the voice you choose, books real open crew slots, transfers urgent calls, and texts every caller a confirmation. It also replies to texts and Facebook and Instagram messages in the one inbox.
The bigger difference is Contruva AI. You can text it from the truck to draft a quote priced from your past jobs, chase an unpaid invoice, post a finished job to social or tell you which job lost money. Anything a customer will see asks you first by default.
Text Contruva: “Follow up on every quote from the last 30 days that hasn’t been answered.” Then check what it drafted before you approve it.
Getting found: website, reviews and marketing
Jobber includes a website on all plans. Reviews, campaigns, referrals and social posting live in its Marketing Suite, which is a $99 USD/month add-on below Plus.
Contruva builds your website with AI, adds new service and area pages for search every week, sends review requests after every job, and designs social posts, ads, short videos and newsletters from your own job photos. That’s all in the one plan. If you’re working on rankings, our local SEO guide for contractors shows what moves the needle.
Where Jobber is the better pick
Being honest about this makes the rest of the page more useful.
- You’re solo and only need the basics. Jobber Core at $29 USD/month on an annual plan is far cheaper than Contruva if quotes, scheduling and invoices are all you need.
- You want a longer trial. Jobber’s trial is 14 days; Contruva’s is 7.
- You rely on a QuickBooks Online sync. Jobber lists it from Connect up.
- You want a big marketplace of integrations. Jobber’s pricing page lists 100+ marketplace integrations on every plan.
What a real crew pays
Take a five-person renovation crew that wants calls answered, job costing, review requests and marketing.
| Contruva | Jobber Grow + add-ons | Jobber Plus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base plan (5 users, no commitment) | $249.99 CAD | $299 USD | $499 USD |
| AI receptionist | Included | $29 USD | Included |
| Marketing Suite / marketing | Included | $99 USD | Included |
| Monthly total | $249.99 CAD | $427 USD | $499 USD |
Add a sixth person and Jobber adds $29 USD a month. Contruva stays the same. Jobber’s annual prepaid prices are lower, but you pay the year up front.
Switching from Jobber to Contruva
Most of the work in a switch isn’t the software. It’s making sure nothing falls through the cracks for the week you’re moving. Here’s the checklist we’d use.
- Export your clients from Jobber, with phone numbers, emails and addresses.
- Download every open quote and unpaid invoice. Finish collecting old invoices where they started, so customers don’t get two bills.
- Write down your services and prices. Your price list becomes the catalog Contruva AI uses to price new quotes.
- List recurring work. Maintenance visits, seasonal cleanups and service contracts need to be rebooked in the new calendar.
- Check your Jobber term. On a 1-year commitment, Jobber’s FAQ says billing continues until the term ends, so time the switch to your renewal date if you can.
- Move the phones last. Turn on the AI receptionist after your calendar and services are in, so it books real open slots.
During the trial week, run one job from first call to paid invoice in Contruva. Answer a call with the receptionist, send a quote, book the crew, invoice it and ask for a review. That one job tells you more than any feature list. If your quotes are the weak spot, read how to write a contractor estimate and how to follow up without being pushy while you set up.
Hand the crew app to your lead hand for two days. If they can see their day, clock in and add photos without calling you, the switch will stick.
Verdict
Pick Jobber if you’re a one-person shop that mostly needs scheduling and invoicing, or you depend on its QuickBooks sync and integration marketplace.
Pick Contruva if you have a crew, lose jobs to missed calls and slow follow-ups, and are paying separately for a website, answering service or marketing help. One price covers it all, and the AI does a lot of the admin for you.
A simple test: add up what you pay each month for job software, extra users, an answering service, a website, review requests and social scheduling. If that number is close to or above $249.99 CAD, and you still miss calls or forget follow-ups, Contruva is worth a week of your time. If it’s well below and nothing is slipping, stay where you are.
Job software, extra users, answering service, website, review and social tools.
No credit card. Set up the receptionist and send one real quote.
Count missed calls, quotes followed up and hours spent on paperwork.
