The best landscapingbusiness softwarefor 2026.

Seven landscaping business apps, what they actually cost when we checked in November 2026, and which size of company each one fits. No ratings we made up, no affiliate rankings.

The best landscaping software depends on what you sell and how big you are. For small and mid-size landscaping companies, the realistic shortlist is Contruva, Jobber, LMN, Service Autopilot, Housecall Pro and Yardbook, and large commercial companies should also look at Aspire. Contruva fits crews who want the phone answered, quotes sent and every crew member on one plan; LMN and Aspire fit companies that live by estimating budgets and commercial contracts.

One thing first: a lot of “best landscaping software” lists are really about design tools that draw a backyard in 3D. This page is about landscaping business software, the app that runs leads, quotes, crews, invoices and payments. All prices below were checked on each company’s own site in November 2026, and we say plainly where a price isn’t published.

What does a landscaping business need from software?

Landscaping isn’t one business. Most companies run two or three at once, and each one stresses the software differently:

  • Install and design-build. Fewer, bigger jobs: patios, retaining walls, planting plans, sod, lighting. You need quotes with photos and options, deposits, change orders and job costing so you know whether that wall made money.
  • Maintenance. Weekly or biweekly cuts, spring and fall cleanups, fertilizer rounds. You need recurring jobs that fill the calendar for the season and billing that doesn’t eat your month-end.
  • Winter work. Many landscapers plough and salt from December to March. That means per-push or seasonal contracts and a schedule that changes with every storm.

Then there’s the season itself. You sell in February, build flat out from April to June, and a wet week in May pushes every job behind it. Crews swell with seasonal labourers who all need the job address, the drawing and a clock-in, but don’t need to see your pricing. A good landscaping app handles that without charging you a seat fee for every summer hire.

Before you trial anything, run one real job through it:

  • Quote your most common install, with photos, an upgrade option and a deposit, in under ten minutes.
  • Check the price book handles your units: square feet of pavers, face feet of wall block, yards of mulch, pallets of sod, tonnes of gravel.
  • Set up a weekly cut from mid-April to the end of October and see what the calendar does.
  • Move a three-day patio after a rain day and see whether the crew finds out without a phone call.
  • Price it with every crew member on it, including the seasonal hires.

1. Contruva

Who it suits: owner-operators and small to mid-size landscaping companies, install or maintenance, that lose work to missed calls and slow quotes, and want every crew member on the app without a seat fee.

Price: one plan, Contruva Pro, with everything included and no per-seat pricing. Every account starts with a 7-day free trial, no credit card. Pay monthly or yearly, in your own currency (Canadian customers can pay in CAD, with HST shown on the bill).

The AI receptionist answers calls in your business name and books site visits into real open slots while you’re on a compactor. Quotes go out the same day with photos, optional add-ons like lighting or a seat wall, e-signature and a card deposit. Install jobs sit on a drag-and-drop calendar, maintenance runs as recurring jobs, and the crew app handles clock-in, checklists, photos and daily logs, with job costing that shows each job’s real margin. Payments run through Stripe with no extra Contruva fee on top of standard card processing. It also builds your website, adds SEO pages weekly and can post your finished backyards to social media when you text it.

Where it falls short for landscapers: Contruva has no GPS crew tracking or route optimization, so if your business is fifteen mowing crews on dense routes, a route-first tool will serve you better. It also doesn’t do inventory, payroll or multi-location management, and it isn’t accounting software, so keep your bookkeeping tool.

  • ✓ No per-seat pricing, so seasonal crew cost nothing extra
  • ✓ AI receptionist, website and marketing included
  • ✓ Quotes, deposits, change orders and job costing for installs
  • ✕ No route optimization or GPS tracking
  • ✕ No inventory, payroll or multi-location tools
  • ✕ One plan only, no cheaper invoicing-only tier

2. Jobber

Who it suits: home service businesses, including lots of lawn and landscape companies, that want a mature, widely used job app.

Price (USD): Core is $49 a month for one user with no commitment. Connect starts at $139 (1 user) and Grow at $199 (1 user), each rising with user count up to 15 users. Plus starts at $499 for 5 users. One-year commitments and annual billing are cheaper. Extra users are $29 a month each. AI Receptionist ($29), Pipeline ($49) and Marketing Suite ($99) are listed as add-ons. QuickBooks Online sync and automated quote and invoice follow-ups start on Connect, and job costing needs Grow or Plus. There’s a 14-day free trial.

Jobber is a solid all-rounder for recurring maintenance. The catch for growing landscape companies is the math: job costing on Grow, plus a few extra users and an add-on or two, adds up quickly once a full summer crew is on it.

  • ✓ Mature app with a big user base
  • ✓ QuickBooks Online sync from Connect
  • ✕ Job costing only on Grow and Plus
  • ✕ Per-user fees and add-ons raise the total as you grow

3. LMN

Who it suits: landscape companies that price from a budget, care about overhead recovery and want estimating built by landscapers. LMN is now part of Granum.

Price (USD, billed monthly): Starter is $297 a month for companies with fewer than 10 employees and includes 1 office or crew lead licence and 5 crew members. Professional is $648 a month for 10+ employees with 3 office licences and 15 crew members. Enterprise, for multi-location companies starting at 100 users, is quoted. Every plan carries a one-time onboarding fee that isn’t published, and extra licences cost extra.

All plans include estimating, scheduling, a crew app with GPS-verified clock-in, and route optimization. Real-time job costing, equipment and material costing and QuickBooks Desktop support are on Professional, not Starter.

  • ✓ Budget-based estimating and overhead recovery
  • ✓ Route optimization on every plan
  • ✕ Highest published entry price on this list
  • ✕ Job costing needs Professional; onboarding fee not published

4. Aspire

Who it suits: large commercial landscape companies with estimators, account managers and multi-year maintenance contracts. Aspire is part of the ServiceTitan family of products.

Price: not published. Aspire’s plans page says pricing varies by company size and complexity, that a single licence fee is billed monthly, and that there’s no limit on users. Electronic payments, payroll and GPS fleet management are priced separately, and pricing is set for the term of a contract. Aspire describes itself as built for enterprise-level landscape businesses, and it also offers a separate product, Crew Control, aimed at smaller companies.

  • ✓ Deep commercial contract and estimating tools
  • ✓ No limit on users
  • ✕ Quote only, under contract
  • ✕ More system than a small crew needs

5. Service Autopilot

Who it suits: lawn and maintenance companies that want lots of automation and are comfortable setting it up.

Price: the pricing page lists Startup at $49 a month (1 business user, 1 mobile user), Pro at $199 (1 and 2), Pro Plus at $499 (1 and 5) and Elite on request (2 and 8). It says all pricing is based on annual subscription rates, and each paid plan shows “+ sign up fee” without an amount. The page doesn’t name the currency. Route optimization starts on Pro, and the QuickBooks integration is listed only on Elite.

  • ✓ Route optimization from the Pro plan
  • ✓ Built around recurring maintenance
  • ✕ Annual subscription basis and an unpublished sign-up fee
  • ✕ QuickBooks integration listed only on Elite

6. Housecall Pro

Who it suits: residential service companies that do some lawn and landscape work alongside other home services.

Price (USD): Basic is $79 a month on monthly billing ($59 on annual) for 1 user, Essentials $189 ($149) for 5 users, and Max $329 ($299) for 8 users, with extra users on Max at $35 a month. No long-term contract, and a 14-day trial with no credit card. QuickBooks Online sync starts on Essentials. Route optimization and recurring service plans are on Max only.

For a lawn company, that last point matters: recurring service plans and route optimization are the two things a maintenance business leans on, and both sit on the top tier.

  • ✓ Published prices, no long-term contract
  • ✓ Job costing from the Basic plan
  • ✕ Recurring service plans and route optimization only on Max
  • ✕ Built for residential service more than design-build

See our Housecall Pro pricing breakdown.

7. Yardbook

Who it suits: solo operators and very small lawn businesses that mainly need scheduling and invoicing for the lowest possible cost.

Price: we couldn’t verify it. Yardbook’s site blocked our check in November 2026. Third-party listings describe a free core plan with optional paid tiers, but they disagree on the amounts, so confirm on Yardbook’s own site before you count on it.

  • ✓ Low cost of entry, by most accounts
  • ✓ Made for lawn and landscape work
  • ✕ Pricing not verified for this page
  • ✕ A lighter tool than an all-in-one app as the company grows

What does landscaping software really cost?

The headline price is rarely the price you pay. Here’s an illustrative example for a design-build company in its busy season: the owner, an office manager, two crew leads and four seasonal labourers, so 8 people who need the app, and the company wants job costing and QuickBooks sync.

Worked example

On Jobber, job costing means Grow. Grow for 10 users is listed at $399 USD a month with no commitment, which covers all 8 people. Add the AI Receptionist add-on at $29 and the total is $428 USD a month before tax. On LMN, 8 people fit inside Starter at $297 USD a month, but job costing needs Professional at $648, plus an onboarding fee. Check each vendor’s current page, because tiers and user bands change.

Line up every option the same way:

1
Count peak-season users.

Everyone who needs a login in June, not February.

2
Find the tier for your must-haves.

Job costing, recurring service plans, route optimization and accounting sync often sit on different tiers.

3
Add the extras.

Call answering, marketing, website, onboarding and sign-up fees.

4
Check the term.

Month to month, annual commitment or a multi-year contract.

If you’re pricing installs at the same time, the paver calculator and gravel calculator speed up takeoffs, and starting out is covered in our guide to starting a landscaping business.

What is the best landscaping software?

It depends on size and work type. Contruva suits small to mid-size crews that want calls, quotes, crews and payments in one plan with no per-seat pricing; LMN and Aspire suit larger companies that estimate from budgets or run commercial contracts; Service Autopilot and Jobber suit route-heavy maintenance.

What is the best software for a small landscaping business?

For a small landscaping business, look at Contruva, Jobber and Yardbook. Run one real quote and one recurring job through each free trial, and price it with every crew member on it.

How much does landscaping software cost?

When we checked in November 2026, published starting prices ranged from $49 USD a month (Jobber Core, Service Autopilot Startup) to $297 USD a month (LMN Starter), while Aspire is quoted. Per-user fees, add-ons and onboarding fees often raise the real total.

Is Jobber good for landscaping?

Jobber is widely used by lawn and landscape companies and handles quotes, scheduling and invoicing well. Job costing needs the Grow or Plus plan, and extra users are $29 USD a month each.

Is there free landscaping software?

Third-party listings describe Yardbook as having a free core plan, though we couldn’t verify its pricing directly. Most other landscaping apps offer a free trial rather than a free plan; Contruva’s is 7 days with no credit card.

Does Contruva have route optimization?

No. Contruva handles scheduling, recurring jobs, the crew app and job costing, but it has no GPS tracking or route optimization. Companies built around dense mowing routes may prefer a route-first tool.

Is landscaping software the same as landscape design software?

No. Landscape design software draws plans and 3D renders. Landscaping business software runs the company: leads, quotes, crews, invoices and payments.
