Housecall Proalternatives wortha look in 2026.

Housecall Pro’s plans look simple until you need call answering, a website or a sales pipeline, which are add-ons with no published price. Here are six alternatives, priced from their own pages in November 2026.

The strongest Housecall Pro alternatives in 2026 are Contruva, Jobber, Workiz, ServiceTitan, Kickserv and Tradify. Contruva is the pick if you want AI call answering, a website and marketing included at a published flat price; Jobber if you want a cheap entry plan; ServiceTitan if you run a large shop with a dispatch office.

Every price below was checked on the vendor’s own pricing page in November 2026. Where a vendor doesn’t publish a price, we say so instead of guessing.

Why contractors leave Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro has a lot going for it. Job costing and review management are on its entry Basic plan, it offers consumer financing, its app is available in English and Spanish, and its FAQ says there are no long-term contracts. So why look elsewhere?

  • The add-ons you can’t price. CSR AI (its AI call answering), Websites, Pipeline, Sales Proposal Tool, Payroll, Voice and more are listed as add-ons on the pricing page, with no prices shown. You find out the cost from sales.
  • Features split across tiers. Employee GPS tracking, routes, checklist automations and QuickBooks Online sync start at Essentials. Recurring service plans, route optimization and Zapier/API access are Max-only.
  • User caps. Basic includes 1 user, Essentials 5 and Max 8. Max lists extra users at $35 USD/month each.
  • USD pricing. All plan prices are in US dollars, excluding sales tax.

Review sites echo this. Reviewers on Capterra mention add-on costs and steep price jumps once a team grows past five users, and some mention lag when juggling lots of jobs. Opinions on support are mixed, with plenty of positive reviews too.

How much Housecall Pro costs

Listed on housecallpro.com/pricing, in USD, checked November 2026:

PlanBilled annuallyBilled monthlyUsers includedKey additions
Basic$59/mo$79/mo1Booking, scheduling, quotes, invoices, job costing, reviews
Essentials$149/mo$189/mo5Routes, GPS tracking, checklists, QuickBooks Online sync
Max$299/mo$329/mo8 (+$35/mo each)Sales proposals, service plans, route optimization, API

The page also showed introductory offers when we checked: Basic and Essentials at $26 for the first month, and Max at $99/month for three months. Card processing is listed as starting at 2.59%, with a 1% fee on bank payments. The free trial is 14 days on Max, no credit card.

User counts drive the real price. Essentials covers five users, and the pricing page only lists paid extra users on Max. So a crew of six that wants everyone in the app should expect to be pointed to Max, $329 USD/month billed monthly, before any add-ons. Ask sales if you’re unsure. If that crew also wants AI call answering and a managed website, the total depends on quotes from sales. Compare that with a flat price where the sixth, seventh and tenth person cost nothing extra.

Worked example

A six-person HVAC crew on Housecall Pro Max, billed monthly: $329 USD plus CSR AI plus Websites (both priced on request). On Contruva: $249.99 CAD with the AI receptionist and website included.

Before you sign

Ask Housecall Pro sales for a written monthly total with every add-on you need. CSR AI and Websites in particular have no price on the public page.

The 6 best Housecall Pro alternatives

1. Contruva: one published price, AI included

Who it suits: contractors and trades businesses, from solo to multi-crew, who want calls answered, a website that brings in leads, and marketing done, without stacking add-ons. Canadian, priced in CAD.

Pricing: $249.99 CAD/month for Contruva Pro, the only plan. No per-seat pricing, no add-ons, 7-day free trial without a credit card.

Pros: the AI receptionist, AI-built website with weekly SEO pages, one inbox, quotes with e-signature and deposits, scheduling, crew app, job costing, invoices, review requests and social and email marketing are all in the plan. Contruva AI does work for you by text: follow-ups, invoice reminders, social posts. Stripe card payments with no extra Contruva fee.

Cons: no consumer financing listed, which Housecall Pro offers. No cheap starter tier for someone who only invoices. The trial is 7 days against Housecall Pro’s 14. Not accounting software.

2. Jobber: the closest like-for-like swap

Who it suits: home-service businesses that want polished scheduling, quoting and invoicing and are happy to add tools later.

Pricing (USD, checked November 2026): Core from $29/month on annual billing ($49 with no commitment), Connect from $99, Grow from $149, Plus from $399 for 5 users. Extra users $29/month. Add-ons are published: AI Receptionist $29, Pipeline $49, Marketing Suite $99, all bundled in Plus.

Pros: add-on prices are public, a website is included on all plans, 14-day trial.

Cons: job costing and two-way texting start at Grow. The cheapest rates need a 1-year commitment or annual prepayment. See our Jobber vs Housecall Pro breakdown.

3. Workiz: for teams that run on the phone

Who it suits: phone-driven service businesses that want a built-in phone system, call tracking and AI answering.

Pricing: Standard, Pro and Ultimate are all “Request pricing” (checked November 2026). Genius Phone, Genius Answering and Genius Marketing are sold separately.

Pros: Genius Answering handles calls and inbox messages and is listed as speaking English, Spanish and French. Consumer financing and QuickBooks integration are listed on all plans.

Cons: no published prices at all. Automations are capped at 5, 10 or 30 by tier, and multi-day jobs are Ultimate-only.

4. ServiceTitan: for big residential and commercial shops

Who it suits: established HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies with office staff, many technicians and memberships to manage.

Pricing: per-technician pricing across Starter, Essentials and The Works, all “Request pricing”.

Pros: one of the deepest feature sets in the trades: dispatch, call booking, pricebook, payroll, memberships and reporting.

Cons: no public prices, cost scales with every technician, and it’s more system than a small crew needs. Our ServiceTitan pricing page has more.

5. Kickserv: budget pick for small teams

Who it suits: small field service teams on a tight budget who want basic job management with QuickBooks.

Pricing (checked November 2026, currency not stated on the page): Start $60/month for 5 users, Run $119/month for 10 users, Scale $199/month for 20 users, with 20% off annual billing and a 30-day trial.

Pros: generous user counts per plan, QuickBooks Online integration from Start, email and text reminders.

Cons: reviews are only on Scale, QuickBooks Desktop integration is $50/month extra on Run, and we didn’t see AI call answering, websites or marketing on its pricing page.

6. Tradify: for small trade teams that want accounting sync

Who it suits: electricians, plumbers and HVAC techs in small teams who live in Xero or QuickBooks.

Pricing (USD per user per month, checked November 2026): Lite $47, Pro $51, Plus $61. Instant Website add-on $12/month.

Pros: Xero and QuickBooks Online sync on all plans, progress invoicing and quote reminders from Pro, all features in the 14-day trial.

Cons: every user is billed, and AI tools are Plus-only. No AI receptionist or marketing tools on its pricing page.

Which alternative fits your business

  • Solo, just need quotes and invoices: Jobber Core or Tradify Lite will be cheapest.
  • Small crew losing calls and leads: Contruva, because the receptionist, inbox and follow-ups are included. Read why speed to lead wins jobs.
  • Big shop with dispatchers and memberships: ServiceTitan.
  • Phone-first, call-tracking-heavy team: Workiz.
  • Budget team of 5 to 20 that just needs scheduling: Kickserv.
  • You need consumer financing for big tickets: stay with Housecall Pro, or check Workiz.

Trade matters too. A roofer or renovator with multi-day jobs and change orders needs different tools than a pest control route. See how Contruva handles HVAC, plumbing and renovation work.
