The bestTradify alternativesfor 2026.

Tradify is a solid job management app priced per user. If your crew is growing, or you want calls answered and marketing done too, here are five alternatives with prices checked in November 2026.

The best Tradify alternatives depend on why you’re leaving. If per-user pricing is the problem, look at Contruva (one flat price for the whole crew) or ServiceM8 (priced by jobs, with unlimited users on paid plans). If you want a bigger ecosystem, Jobber and Housecall Pro are the two largest home-service platforms. If you like Tradify’s style but want a different take on it, Fergus is the closest match.

Tradify itself is a good product, and many reviewers are happy with it. This page isn’t about Tradify being bad. It’s about the specific reasons people outgrow it, and which tool fits each one. Every price below was checked on the vendor’s own website in November 2026.

Why contractors look for Tradify alternatives

From Tradify’s pricing page and the themes we saw in public reviews on sites like Capterra and G2, the usual reasons are:

  • Per-user pricing. Every plan is priced per user, so the bill climbs with every hire. This was the most common complaint we saw in reviews.
  • Key features on the top plan. Tradify’s AI tools (SmartRead for bills and SmartWrite for descriptions), service reminders, purchase orders and reporting are Plus-only.
  • Reporting and customization. Some reviewers wanted more flexible reports and dashboards.
  • Calls and marketing. Tradify focuses on running jobs. It doesn’t answer your phone or run your marketing, so those stay separate bills.

1. Contruva

Best for: crews of two or more who are tired of paying per head and also need calls answered and work coming in.

Contruva is one plan, Contruva Pro, at $249.99 CAD a month. Everyone on your crew gets access with no per-seat fees. It covers everything Tradify’s Pro plan does for most trades (quotes with options and e-signatures, deposits, scheduling with repeat visits, a crew app with time tracking, job costing and invoices) and then adds the parts Tradify leaves to other tools: an AI receptionist that answers in your business name and books real open slots, a single inbox for calls, texts, email and social messages, an AI-built website with new SEO pages every week, review requests and social, ad and email marketing.

You can also text Contruva AI from the job site to draft a quote priced from your past jobs, follow up on open quotes or chase an unpaid invoice.

Where Tradify is ahead: Tradify syncs with Xero and QuickBooks Online on every plan, and it has purchase orders and supplier bill tracking. Contruva tracks invoices, expenses and job costs but isn’t accounting software and doesn’t do purchase orders. If your bookkeeper lives in Xero, sort out how numbers will reach them before you switch. Contruva’s trial is also 7 days to Tradify’s 14.

2. ServiceM8

Best for: service businesses with lots of small jobs and several techs.

ServiceM8 prices by the number of jobs you create each month, not by users. Its pricing page (USD, checked November 2026) lists a Free plan with 30 jobs and one user, then Starter at $29 (50 jobs), Growing at $79 (150 jobs), Premium at $149 (500 jobs) and Premium Plus at $349 (1,500+ jobs, $0.20 per extra job). Paid plans include unlimited users. Its Office Agent Pro add-on is $39 a month, and ServiceM8 Phone starts at $19 a month.

If you have a big team doing short call-outs, this can be far cheaper than per-user pricing. If you do fewer, larger jobs, check how the job count works for multi-visit work. One Capterra reviewer of Tradify specifically compared it to ServiceM8 on price, which tells you who switches.

3. Jobber

Best for: home service businesses that want a mature app with lots of integrations.

Jobber’s plans (USD, checked November 2026) start with Core at $29 a month on an annual plan ($49 with no commitment) for one user. Connect, Grow and Plus come in user bundles, from Connect at $139 for one user up to Plus at $699 for 15 users with no commitment. Extra users are $29 each. The AI Receptionist ($29), Marketing Suite ($99) and Pipeline ($49) are add-ons below Plus. The trial is 14 days.

Jobber suits you if you want QuickBooks sync and a big integration marketplace. Watch the add-ons and the 1-year commitment terms. Our Contruva vs Jobber page works through real totals.

4. Fergus

Best for: plumbing and electrical shops that like Tradify’s job-card approach.

Fergus comes from the same New Zealand trades-software world as Tradify and feels similar. Its global pricing page (checked November 2026) lists Basic from $53 a month and Professional from $75, with timesheet users from $26 each, an Enterprise plan for 10+ staff, and no lock-in contracts or yearly plans. The page shows “$” without naming a currency, so confirm what you’ll be billed in for your region. Card payments are listed at 2.95% + $0.30.

It’s a sideways move rather than a big change: strong job cards, price books and Xero/QuickBooks/MYOB integration, but no AI receptionist or marketing.

5. Housecall Pro

Best for: US-style home service businesses that need consumer financing, route optimization or an API.

Housecall Pro lists Basic at $59 USD a month billed annually (1 user), Essentials at $149 (5 users) and Max at $299 (8 users, $35 per extra user), checked November 2026. AI call answering (CSR AI), websites and a pipeline are add-ons without published prices. See our full Housecall Pro pricing breakdown for worked totals.

Cost by crew size

Monthly cost using each vendor’s listed prices (checked November 2026). Tradify and Jobber are monthly prices with no annual prepay. Contruva is CAD; the others are USD, so convert before you compare.

Crew sizeTradify ProTradify PlusJobber Grow (no commitment)Contruva Pro
1 person$51 USD$61 USD$199 USD$249.99 CAD
5 people$255 USD$305 USD$299 USD$249.99 CAD
10 people$510 USD$610 USD$399 USD$249.99 CAD
15 people$765 USD$915 USD$499 USD$249.99 CAD

For one person, Tradify is the cheapest of these. By five people the flat price wins, and by ten it isn’t close, even before you count the answering service and marketing tools Contruva replaces. ServiceM8 isn’t in the table because it prices by jobs, not people.

Don’t forget the extras

Add what you pay today for an answering service, website hosting, a review tool and social scheduling. Those are separate bills on Tradify. On Contruva they’re in the plan.

Ask us anything

What is the best alternative to Tradify?

It depends on why you’re leaving. For crews tired of per-user pricing, Contruva (flat $249.99 CAD for everyone) or ServiceM8 (priced by jobs) are the main options. For a larger ecosystem, Jobber or Housecall Pro.

How much does Tradify cost?

Tradify’s US pricing page lists Lite at $47, Pro at $51 and Plus at $61 USD per user per month, with an Instant Website add-on at $12 a month (checked November 2026).

Is Tradify cheaper than Jobber?

For one user, yes. Because Tradify charges per user, it can cost more than Jobber’s user-bundle plans once a crew passes about five people.

Does Tradify have an AI receptionist?

Tradify’s pricing page doesn’t list call answering. Its AI SmartTools (SmartRead and SmartWrite) help with bills and descriptions and are on the Plus plan only.

Is ServiceM8 like Tradify?

Both are job management apps for trades, but ServiceM8 prices by the number of jobs per month with unlimited users on paid plans, while Tradify prices per user.

Can I move my data from Tradify?

Export your customers, open quotes and unpaid invoices from Tradify before you cancel. Finish collecting old invoices in Tradify so customers don’t get two bills.
